Hood Insulation

Cripe, the INTAKES on NBS trucks are plastic...not to mention the whole topside, numerous trim pieces & parts...not saying its the SAME plastic, but just because its plastic I wouldn't write it totally off...
Personally I love the looks of that ABS unit...I'd buy one now if I was sure I wasn't gonna go with a Cowl hood on my "restification"...

My mom has a newer ford fusion and practically everything but the block and heads are some sort of plastic or another. Unless it's a heat shield, her exhaust looks to be some composite crap too.

Anyone try the LMC universal? Wondering how it looks.. My truck is in process of getting painted, and throwing old insulation out. Thoughts on insulation or leave it without..?

I would put some. Helps with the heat under there. Unless you have a cowl hood

Definitely put it on, it completes the look of the engine bay, imo. I'd love to get the one on LMC that says "Chevrolet," but it's just too damn expensive!

Same here! I've been wanting on since my accident but just decided to wait for much needed parts instead. I'm gonna do the big 5 next.
