Highbeam dropouts

The issue im having is that when i put leave my highbeams on they periodically turn off and leave me in darkness. I prevent this by turning my highbeams on and off every 5 minutes. If I had to guess i would say a relay is overheating. Any input?

There is no relay. My bet would be the light switch is overheaating
