While I got your attention here guys, what does the PVC valve do cuz I replaced it and the truck runs much smoother. Just curious

10ish hot idle 
definitely don't be complaining. mines weird though, goes up alot with the throttle. (no sending unit, manual guage)

Sucks crankcase gasses (blowby) back into intake to be burned. If you have a stuck valve it can make then run weird. Yours was due to be replaced

They should be changed every 40-50K, from what I remember.
Make sure to use the OE part! You may get lucky, but I stuck a Purolator one in my old Town Car and the Sierra, the Town Car starting using a quart every 400 miles, and the truck starting leaking from the valve covers and the oil filter adapter.
Replaced them with Motorcraft/AC Delco units, and they were good to go (although I did have to replace the OFA gasket)
