On my 98 5.7 vortec, doesn't matter if its cold or optimal temp, I run 40 psi at idle and almost 70 psi at 1900 (60 mph).

The motor has 50 thousand miles
STP oil filter with 5w30 mobile one extended performance
Got 1000 miles since last oil change

I don't know if its a big problem or not. Not sure how to fix it, if its a sensor, the oil or what. Also don't know it it has something to do with the motor compensating for the 270,*** tranny it has to turn.

Don't complain about oil pressure like that. No compensating what so ever
