It's got 164,000 miles on it. It was garaged from November to April by the previous owner. It was serviced religiously. The owners manual pouch is stuffed with service receipts. I drive locally mostly.
That's similar to what my 99 Burb 5.7 vortec sees. It's our daily driver and just turned 185,000. Yes I'm loving cheaper gas! But it usually gets between 13-15 mpg as long as we don't have too much idling or traffic. I agree with sewlow that "blowing the cobwebs out " is a good thing. My truck is happy to get on the freeway or a road trip and get up to 75 or 80 with little effort. Wish I had all the service records that you got. My truck's PO didn't seem to do much but change the oil and do LBJ's before they sold it.
