Has anyone ever purchased a monster transmission bare bones

I'm looking to getting a replacement 700r4 from Monster Transmission, link is below. Has anyone ever ordered one of these from them? I've seen some bad reviews from the company on YouTube but I can't find anyone locally that will work on mine to rebuild it because they say it's too old.

IMO you would be better off with pretty much any other option. Monster Transmission has had a terrible reputation on these forums and many other places for years now.

If you really need to order something instead of having it rebuilt locally (There has to be a good transmission builder in the Ft. Myers area somewhere...) I'd look into Gearstar or Hughes. Both will be more expensive than Monster for sure, but both have excellent reputations.

Yeah its odd but they paint stuff purple a lot, I actually live in Brooksville so their shop is barely a 5 to 10 minute drive from my house. Nice guys and theyve even offered to let me tour the shop before but theyve gotten some pretty bad reviews.

I do not see age as a factor for a transmission rebuild. I am sure there are places that build them for HotRods local.

Densely populated area like Fort Myers/Tampa. If you can't find someone to build it, you're not looking. I kinda stay away from mail order transmissions that are hard to collect any kind of warranty on.

Ive rebuilt plenty of Monster Transmissions over the years and they are nothing to write home about.
