Hey there. Searched and searched, but haven't see any issues related to downshifting.
I have a 94 350 tbi with 224k.
The truck shifts great all day long, except for when I try to downshift. Any time I downshift from 3-2 or 2-1, the transmission just hangs there at a higher rpm and I usually have to punch it to accelerate more. When it does accelerate I hear a warbling sound for a bit, like the transmission struggles to catch. I never experience this when shifting up, only down.
I know hard shifts are a symptom of a bad TPS. However, I also know that hard shifts are also a symptom of a bad TCC regulator valve, which is a common issue with the 4l60e.
I'm thinking it's the TCC valve, since the CEL periodically shows up. Has anyone had this type of issue with hard shifts?
