so your theory is that the torsion bars' spring steel is so totally worn to nothing that they allow the body to drop onto the tires, and rub... not that the tires are too big?

Yes! You should be able to fit those absolutely no problem completely stock

you must have a body lift then.... there is no other way. the torsion bars are turned up 2"

so right now the lift is "maxed out" with an acceptable CV shaft angle and at full suspension travel, these tires clear... but, i had to trim the bumper and loose the plastic wind valance thing

dude your torsoin bars are dead, if your cranked 2 inches your cv angles would look worse than that, as far as ive seen 2-3inches is alot worse than that.

This is a funny thread...

The day I bought mine, stock with 285/75/16

With 265/70/17 on gmt800 wheels

Same wheels/tires after the 4" rcx with the front set as low as I could possibly get it.

Angles at that height

305 sexiness....

I did have to level the front with the rear for the 305's. I need to get a new picture of the angles but I barely cranked it an inch so they didn't change much.

No way you should be rubbing on 265's. That's a factory tire size for petes sake....

Lift Keys are a joke as are most of the so called 3" lifts since they are a glorified t bar crank. Also RCX does not make a lift for the K2500 8 lug truck. Unless your a K2500 is actually a K2500 LD with 6 lugs which is the same as a K1500 with the F44 package. As for the Blazer with stuffed fenderwells with only 265s...something is wrong with your suspension because most people run 285s with no mods done to the truck. My K1500 Diesel is running on 265s currently and i have tons of wheel well space even at full flex. Same went for my old K3500.

Your bars are shot. I cranked mine WAY more than that for fun right before I lifted it and they were a hell of a lot worse. Shoot go look at Hunters truck when he ran 37 inch boggers with a three inch body lift and look at those angles! I would replace those bars

maybe I should just bolt on some gigantic, beefy, overkill energy-suspension bump-stops.....

here is a shot the day after I got my tires... notice the tape on the bumper- that was cut off. also notice the clearance to the back of the wheel well... there is full clearance and full articulation there, now, but! at full turn; larger tires would chew on that

am I hitting the bump-stops? I don't know. but if I turn the keys up, even one rotation, the truck responds... so the bars cant be THAT bad...
I kept the stock keys, so if I DO find new bars I can finally set this right....

anyone know of where you can buy new K1500 torsion bars?....

That is crazy you honestly should have never had to cut to fit those tires! I have no other explanation other than your bars are shot. If possible you could try cranking some more your angles are not bad at all

Do you know the backspacing on those wheels? That can effect when/how/if the tires rub as well.

Does the truck sit level or lower in the front? Your trucks angles look flatter than mine did stock so I think your height is just off...
