I am a '92 1500 that comes with the stock 25 gallon fuel tank. I want to know if the 34 gallon fuel tank will fit on my truck.

The 25 gallon is: 46 x 12 x 13 1/2
The 34 gallon is: 59 x 14 x 13 1/2

Do you'll think this will fit? Has anyone every done this before. I don't know if my truck bed is 6ft or 8ft long.

I am new to this site. I didn't see the appropriate thread to put the question in. Thanks for all your help.

I just hit the newbie thread. LOL.

Nope. If you got a good look at each setup you'd see why right away, but the short answer is nope.

6' bed = shortbed, comes with the small tank. 8' bed = longbed, comes with the large tank.

Thanks for the post.

I was hoping that the tanks would be interchangeable. I didn't look up my truck to see if there was extra room for a larger tank. My truck is a Crewcab.

1992 1500 crew cab? As in, has 4 fullsize doors? That would be a conversion (like a Centurion) or possibly a homemade job. If you mean it's just got a back seat and no rear doors, that's an extended cab. Apologies if you already understand all this but just being sure we don't have a confusion of terminology here.
