fuel draining off

My 97 K3500 seems to have the gas drain out of the lines when its not running. Sat for 2 weeks, took forever for it to start and it was just a fuel issue. Got iot started, ran fine. Started several times after that day no problems. Sat overnight, this morning took at least 30 sections of turn over before it fired. Again, no fuel.
Anyone had this problem?

Yea, in the past with symptoms like this, I have experienced that the fule pump was losing prime, the Fuel Pressure Regulator, had crapped out, and a few of the injectors were leaking down.

All this was on seprate engines, of course.

As I tell everyone with a fuel issue, test your fuel pressure and fuel volume. Check and document any fuel pressure drop while sitting. Use a scanner that will be able to pulse each injector to check if they are in specs.
