Dont stop until it sounds expensive
Well ended up having a free minute and since I kind of suspected some bad fuel at first since the trucks last had a fill up a little over a year ago I threw in some octane booster and decided to drive down and put in a few gallons of fresh gas so I could see if that fixed the stumble issue or rule out bad gas. Drove the truck to the gas station. Put 9 gallons in it and it wont fire up. sounded starved of fuel and Didn't hear the pump. Got it towed home. Gunna go out tomorrow and check the relay and the fuses one more time (was a bit dark and my phone light may not be the best) ill see about renting and hooking a gauge up to it and see what the pressure reads.
Assuming the pump is bad .... again What are some decent pumps? I feel like every time I've thrown in a new pump it seems to last lesser and lesser time. I believe this last time I used a Delphi unit. it lasted me about 4 years and 34k miles ... IMO that's trash. about the same time as the "spider offbrand crap" I used the last time so are parts just getting cheaper or is there a better option?
On a Yukon this is not a fun job unless I cut a hole in my floor which being an enclosed cabin I dont want to do.
