First year of extended cab with opening rear door to the back seat?

Title of this is my question for All you folks. My 95 3/4 ton ECLB does not have rear doors... It becomes a catch all for stuff that you never seem to take out of the back seat area...

Thought it was optional on 1996, 1997 and 1998 1/2 tons, but not 100% certain. "Easy access" was the premise.

Not sure why it was not available on 3/4 and 1 ton extended cabs, perhaps it had to do with the rigidity or lack thereof of the cab structure in torsion.

You may be right, it could be '96. It's one of the two for sure.

I want a 1500 - 1/2 ton.. I would prefer a SCSB, but I am keeping my options open. My non "Easy Access" 95 3/4 ton back seat, is a black hole.. It sucks everything in, but it won't let them leave go.

All the GMT400 extended cabs with the rear door were passenger side only.

I thought it was 98 that started the 3rd door but only on 1500 Silverado. I had a 98 half ton but no third door maybe cause it was a cheyane model. Not sure why it was only half tons

My current 3/4 ton has no rear doors and some how the back seat area is completely empty lol
