Before you get in there, also check your pitman and idler arms. They're usually wasted as well. Did you get both inner and outer tie rods? Your tie rod adjusters are likely rusty. New ones are cheap and well worth it when rebuilding the steering. You might as well also replace the sway bar hardware - there's a good chance the bushings are shot.

Check RockAuto's clearance page. I bought a bunch of that stuff last week for my '88 C3500. Here's a link to your truck's clearance page.

The bushing kit comes with sway bar links and bushings. One tie rod set was installed last night. As for the pitman and idler arms, I need to wait for another paycheck or 2 to get the next batch of parts and get a puller.

O.K. first and foremost you need to have the correct size stabilizer bar diameter bushing kit that will fit your particular vehicles application, which Moog's site has in various sizes 1-3/16, 1-1/16,1-1/8,1-1/4. So be sure to measure correctly its diameter with either an inside/outside Digital Metric/Standard Vernier Caliper or a Digital Metric/Standard outside Micrometer, Flexible Measuring Tape, or string depending on availability an which method your familiar with and prefer. And good luck to you! and let us know how it all turns out.
