I currently have a 95 chevy suburban k2500 with a 454. im deciding what to do motor wise. Is it worth building this motor with 250000 miles or is an ls swap a better option I do tow often up to 10000lbs money is not an issue I have a disposable 10k to do whatever I want I just wanna be happy with what I do
The vehicle currently gets **** gas mileage and has no acceleration just looking for recommendations on where to start

With good machine work a 250k motor can be a 0k motor once again.

There are a lot of guys who like the LS swaps, but built rat motors are still the top dogs. The reason people prefer the LS is they're cheaper. I'd build the big-block.

Build the big block for sure, it will have decent power and torque when done right, like Erik said LS swaps are cheap and a dime a dozen. That is part of the reason I am sticking with my 350.
