Thanks for the kind words about the truck, the permit thing is pretty simple. Just gotta roll down anytime between the beginning on June and the end of the summer and get a quick inspection. They make you carry the obvious recovery items and toss a sticker on the window. It can be used for a year after issue. Although they do limit the amount of trucks that go out and during peak season weekends, you might get turned away. Non-resident permits are 200 for a year. Residents get it cheaper and can go to the North beach as well but since my registration is for my home elsewhere, I have to pay the non resident fee. Its not a bad deal if you use it a good bunch of times like we do. We went out the other night. I wish the moon was full. Have to go back in a few weeks.
