I turned my 2500 from a long bed to a short in 2 days, nothing is impossible.

Took a second look at that picture, looks like it's the length of a Tahoe. Maybe took a Tahoe frame and put a EC on it and hacked up a bed? A suburban I believe is also the length of a ECSB, so if you bought a burban and hacked it that's no different than just starting out with a ECSB.

Tahoe should be the same wheelbase as a RCSB. Suburban should be the same wheelbase as a RCLB.

Yeah i've been told if you have a welder and enough drive you can do pretty much anything... so if you're up to the challenge go for it!!

I'll be willing to watch!

i have a new millermatic torches and access to plasma cutter so should be good on the big tools

My bed measures exactly 5' from the front to back at a 108" wheelbase

You will most likely need a 3" body lift to clear the raise in the frame rails.

Make sure to do a build thread on this... i've got a project a 1951 chevy truck on a 78 K10 chassis so i'd love to see how you fab up your body mounts....

Oh if only i had the shop/garage space to get that old 51 going.... :(

I will do a build thread as it will be getting sas cab swap and hopefully a semi built 350 that is currently apart waiting for me to get home. Unfortunately I have a couple more months on this deployment before I can start it all and dirtridinz71 thats a sharp looking truck.

I'm gonna have to look at it closer when I get the original cab off nut I'm not a big fan of body lifts but i was thinking maybe a one or two inch and notch the cab under the rear seat and build up the floor around the frame rails.
