For a v8 auto. It is plug an play for 96 and up. For a 95 the tach will be off. Got it all figured after lots of research

For future reference, this is wrong. I have an OBD-I '95 with an '00 Esky cluster and the tach works correctly.

Well that's somewhat funny. Definitely didn't work right for my '95 when I tried it. lol

X2 mine reads higher than it is

Same problem I had. Almost 500 rpm too much.

'95 they used a 5000 rpm tach. '96+ went to a 6000 rpm tach to compensate for the new engines capable of higher revs.

Don't know what to tell you guys. Mine is dead on.
