You guys gotta realize a simple rebuild with semi decent rockers, cam, valve springs, and bumping the compression up slightly can get you to 350hp. A good wrench crate engine gets those numbers for relatively cheap

Just for grins I went and looked at it. It is a pile of crap. It is a smoking upon start up 350, most likely the original engine. He can't produce receipts for any of the work ever done on it. The previous owner claimed it was rebuilt 35K ago and said that it was a 350hp engine. It definitely has low gears, the tv valve is stuck in the transmission giving it full line pressure so it shifts hard all of the time. The combo of low gears, hard shift and obnoxious exhaust makes it seem fast but it isn't. Of course the interior smells like and acre of Mexico.
