engine swap questions.

So lately i have been thinking of trying to make a trail/mud truck out of the 88. So i was wondering...would it be possible to put a 6.0 or 5.3 in the truck? i ask because it is tbi and of course it would be a pain to put tunes on the truck.

How is it a paint to put a tune in a TBI truck? I would want the simplicity and reliablility of the TBI for an offroad vechicle.

^ tbi= no obd2 port ( or whatever that number is... cant remember if its 2 or 3)

LS motor all the way, with the TBI you would have to change the chip or at least it's parameter's or run a jet sixpack which offer's 6 different settings with the turn of a key.

So i would just have to have the jet six pack to make it all work right?
I was thinking about it last night so which would be better swapping to a 454 with 4L80e or the ls?

Check out www.tbichips.com I'm running the stage 1 chip with edlebrock intake and mild comp cam. Will be still better then the generic Jet six pack setup. Very easy to change the chip for the TBI's.

Yeah it's really easy to change the chip in a TBI truck, but I would still go ls motor, but I am biased!
