A piece of advise. Do not use the braided leader hose from a viair compressor. The one with the built in check valve. The York produces very hot temps and oil blow by. The check valve will seize and cause major pressure build up in the compressor head. An explosion will happen. All of this happened to me. My comp exploded shooting shrapnel through my hood and various engine parts.

so question which is better running a 6 groove or running an adapter off the alternator?

i don't feel it matters. i'm running mine off my serp but also always carrying my stock belt with just in case the compressor locks up. wouldn't really have to worry about that with a v-belt off the alt

Looking to get a double groove pully for the alt. Somebody gead me in the right direction.
