I just replaced my compressor on my 99 Tahoe with a donor, but on the rear of the unit there is a sensor that is a different color than the one that was on the original unit. The donor had rear heat a/c, I don’t have. Will this affect the operation of the compressor?

Maybe you’ll get rear A/C! :D
I don’t think it will matter, if it fits and works, that’s what matters.

NO, I removed the rear A/C in my '98 suburban because I could not find new rear A/C hoses at the time. The compressor is the same for both set ups.

Swap your overpressure switch to the one your installing. Different colors have different pressure limits.
