What is involved in deleting EGR from my 90 K1500 with the 350tbi engine? Is it as simple as buying an EGR delete plate and/or new intake manifold? Also, would it be correct to assume that deleting EGR will cause a check engine light?

Thanks,
Eric

I just made me a block off plate from a scrap peice of aluminum (maybe 1/16" thick) and installed with a new gasket and some sealer. I put a vacuum cap on the solenoid and called it good. I am running a Edelbrock performer intake but Its just the same as stock. I have not got a CEL for it but I do get a code 45 for rich fuel mixture every once in a while that I havent been able to pinpoint, probably not related. Mine is a 88 though but I dont think anything was different in 90. Maybe someone can confirm.
