What is the benifit of firmer shifts? Would like to see some pics too!

No real need for pics. Wouldn't show anything, resistors are very small and should be protected. I can solder up a direct plug in with 2 different shift firmness modes if someone isn't comfortable with doing it themselves.

Benefit is longer transmission and converter life, less slipping between shifts. This is more important for towing than anything.

Basiclally what i wanted to know was how the resistor was in relation to the wires.

Ever find out the answer?? Thinking the second way is the way to do it. Would like some firmer shifts from my 98.
