You mean that low. (higher the number, lower the gear ratio) (you probably knew this though)

In my personal experience with my truck i have 4.56's with 33's, 35's & 37's and they are not low enough. i wanted to get 4.88's originally but i knew i was going to be running 33's for a while so i went with 4.56's. now that I'm running 35's the 4.56 isn't enough imho. but i also have a tbi motor and you have a Vortec.

Jealous! i want a 6.0 in my truck so bad! But I would still go at least 4.88's if you plan on keeping 38's
