Cb mounting ideas

hey everyone i need some help. i have a cobra 29 ltd classic cb. i want to mount it in my 95 1500 obs ext cab. i want to put it right under the dash where the cig lighter and outlets are but i dont see a great mounting spot. any help and pics would be great

I only put it there because the holes were already drilled and it fit in perfectly

That's a cobra 29 WXNWBT and the same size as any other 29.

It's a tight fit.

I'm currently swapping for a cobra 29 LX BT:

I need a different angle for better viewing of the LCD screen on the LX and the only way to get it is to move it closer and angle it up:

The other option would be one of the trans "hump" brackets:

Not as pretty, but it works. I wouldn't look to buy one of those. They're easily made with some 1/8 flat stock, a vice and a drill.

There's really no easy way to get a full sized 29 under the dash power plugs. The heater box takes up that space. You'd have to do something radical like cutting off the floor vents and then you'd have no floor heat. You might run into problems with the internal components of the heater box also.

There's just no room to be had under there....

They usually come with the radio when you buy it as far as I know

mine has a bracket that i zip-screwed up into the plastic and then the radio screws into the bracket

thank yal for all the input. i know what u mean about the floor vents being in the way. my 95 interior is a little different than some of yals but regardless its pretty much the same idea. and that is a badass console you made. my only problem with that is that the 4x4 shifter would be in the way for something like that.
