i own a 93 k1500 and the heater coughs warm air from all orifices in the cab. so i thought i would look at it and the the linkage between the actuator and the dampener fell off. seen that it had a flat edge and put it on in what i thought was the correct position. now there is a slight difference between full feet and full chest but when i turn it to def in flashes and dies. i can reset it by turning it off then turning it on. long story coming to a conclusion im not sure if its on wrong or if its the wrong part(there is an indication the linkage may have been replaced from before, possibly the wrong one). if some one could tell me how its supposed to look or snap a photo of your(would be better) would make things a lot easier.
