I had an 89 with the stock lights. Leaked like a sieve. My vote is a headache rack with lights.

The OEM lights are designed to seal pretty well, in my experience they only leak if the lenses are terribly cracked, a screw is missing or the gaskets are hardened. Even if the lenses crack the gaskets don't let water in if the screws are tight.

I've had 4 trucks now in western washington with cab lights, 2 OEM and 2 I've added with OEM parts. None of them leak. And it rains here. ALOT.

Factory gaskets or aftermarket gaskets? Some of the aftermarket gaskets are different from the factory ones. The factory ones have a grommet style ring that seals the large hole in the roof at each light.
