It's works, there isn't alot of belt on the water pump but it works, it's like a 40 some odd inch belt, my buddy done it on his Iroc, I questioned it too because what happens when the belt stretches, it's more than likely going to come off.

stupidest idea ever, tensioner is there for a reason.

I would agree how does it even work because as I said with my tensioner there if I had a belt I had to force on with no tensio on the tensioner it would just go slack once it was on. You guys pulling the old crank the motor over to throw the belt on deal?

I mean come on, first time the motor gets warm it stretches and expands.

The old v belts had adjustment slots and serp. doesn't unless you made some.


I'm all for clean and removing crap that's not needed or clutters it up, but without slots for adjustment the tnesioner is a must, just like a water pump or alternator, unless it's for race only.

yea plus it does a big job. it don't weigh much wither, and I would guess only does a little drag on the belt or hp lose due to the drag.

I like having my a/c comp gone and the non a/c setup on it but it does look a bit weird. Mines got the big steel bracket though and I cut the smog pump part off of it, now I unbolted the a/c part and found the non a/c support bar and tensioner bracket from a guy on fsc. I made it a 6 rib setup though, stock they were 4 rib without a/c and 6 rib with a/c. Still need to get pics of it too.
