Reminds me of when I started on my $500 1990. I had lots of rust, a problem that I am still fighting. Good luck and happy building.

I removed the light up gauge overlay, didn't care for it.

I noticed the previous owner replaced the clutch master, slave, and line. When he installed it he must have screwed it up, because the slave cylinder rod was bent. So all of those parts had to be replaced. I picked up a used clutch master cylinder from the junkyard ($13), its from a 1990. I got a new slave cylinder ($20) also for a 1990. The replacement line was 74.99!!, so I passed on that. Instead I used a 72" piece of 3/16 brake line ($9) and two M12x1.00 coupler fittings. ($3) I prefer the older style master/slave setup because of the cast construction and the threaded line. Others may benefit by using this trick for the clutch line, it is a $$money saver!!
