that made my day haha. But i always see the plastic assembly at o'reillys. idk if they are for our trucks or not, worth a look. for chrome, i have no clue

Just FYI there's no reason to worry about what color is in stock anywhere, the handle itself is the only part that breaks. You can buy the brand new handle assembly then easily move the actual handle over to your old baseplate so you retain the correct color. Takes about 1 minute.
