Brand new jasper shifts hard. Has to be out side the trans

It'll throw you back in your seat real hard if it doesn't break the tires loose
Could possibly be VSS, had one get unplugged and it wouldn't shift until about 5K and then it would SLAM into gear. If your speedo is working that's probably not it though.

Also what this guy said. Not sure if the '93 has one or not. The only '93 I've ever owned is a 5 speed.

Fluid pressure is extremely high in all gears and at idle what could cause this

Good to know. Computers usually don't go bad... or at least I've not had them go bad. You'll have to let us know how it does over the long haul. I've got a Jasper rebuilt that I had rebuilt in my 4bt ramcharger (47rh). The transmission lasted about 15k, but was abused via truck pulls. I took it to a local shop that knows their stuff. Jasper seems to be ok for the most part though.
