I have both 3/4 ton leaf springs and 3/4 ton torsion bars on my 1/2 ton. I love them both. The bars do not add any height but they handle the weight of my front bumper a million times better made the ride a lot smoother. The 3/4 ton leaf springs added about 2 1/2 inches out back and and I am also running the RCX 4" blcok. If you tow a lot like I do I will tell you that was the best upgrade I have done to date. Before the leaf springs I was at 4" with the RCX lift and after I cranked it up to nearly level and I am still running 305/70/r16s. I think it looks pretty good but when I need tires I will be getting 35s. Here are some pics to get an idea

Thanks man,
Nice looking truck. You gave me the info I was looking for...
What did you pull your 2500 bars from? 2500 HD or LD? 5.7L or something else?
Also, are those OE fender flares or aftermarket?

He used standard 2500 bars with the 1500 keys, and he has oe flares.

Thanks man and no problem! Gave me a chance to ***** her out a little bit :pimp:. Chris is spot on. I used regular 3/4 ton HD bars and my 1/2 ton keys. It had the 5.7 and the 3/4 ton ones were 3/4 of an inch thicker but were still a direct swap. As far as I know it doesnt matter what engine it has but the diesel ones might even be a little thicker? And the flares are just OE flares that I put on!

I almost wonder how well running an rcx or skyjacker 2-3" lift with 3/4 ton t bars and springs would work out? Both are diff drop kits and give better cv angles then just cranking.

Well, we'll how it works out. I picked up the rear leaf and shackles yesterday, going back for TB's today. Found a donor truck at a local yard but had to soak the bars for a bit...

35's fit on my 3 inch body lift without rub, 37's are possible with 5 or 6 inches. It's all about the backspacing!

I went with different front keys (cause I got them for free) and AALs in the rear on my 2 door Blazer... I like it. it rides firm and responsive, and the CV axle angle and front suspension seems happy.
I have 265/75/R16s (31s) on eagle-alloys. they do rub at full turn and suspension flex.
when I get 285s (33s) I will then decide on getting a 2" body lift. IF they rub too much...
