Just a Texan transplanted in the Rockies
Alright y'all, as y'all probably know, GMT400 heavy duty trucks go through brake pads more often than a typical truck. I now live in the mountains where the hills are insanely steep everywhere. I'm looking to replace my brake pads in November when I visit back home so I need some advice on what stock-size brake pads that have the most bite to y'all. I'm currently running PowerStop Z23 pads. They do well in most situations, but I feel brake fade after long downhill passes. Long life, noise, and dust aren't as big of a concern as pad bite and hot-fade resistance. If anyone has an opinion on a better pad, let me know. Thanks in advance!
