Bench seat stuck??

Have a 1990 GMC 1500 standard cab with a bench. For some reason I can no longer tilt my seatback forward to get behind it. It feels like there is a definite "lock" preventing the seat from tilting forward like it would normally tilt. I've known this truck it's whole life and never had to use a lever or something to get behind it.

Anybody else have this problem? I need to get to the stuff behind there and it's driving me nuts!

my old 89 used to do that, i just grabbed the seat and wiggled it and it would usually go.

My 98 randomly does the same thing drives me f-ing nut! Hope some one out there has a cure!!
