What is the procedure for bringing the rear wheels out to line up with front wheels? Do I put 2" wheels spacers in the rear and TADA, its done? Is this even a good idea, will it screw up the ride or anything?

1 1/2 or 2", can't remember. But yah all you need to do. Or swap a van rear, but being 1/2 ton not sure what year you would need.

Pretty sure it's 2". Read up on suspension geometry and design to understand how this can affect handling. It's a big subject.. personally I'd leave it as-is.
