anyone here use GIMP?

i downloaded gimp to add and delete **** on my tahoe and i cant figure out how to get the back ground colors off of wheels. for example i went to add some wheels on there and when i put them on i still have the white background. does anyone know how to just add the wheel without the rest of the picture? any help is GREATLY appreciated.

use the magic lasso and delete what you highlight just make sure your background layer is transparent not white
