I'm liking these black power heated smoke-signal extendables:

Another way of wiring these up as markers and turn signals for cheap:
The diodes are #276-1101 from Radio Shack. I can't remember if this was for the small package or the variety pack. When I went to the local Shack they were out of the small pack (I think I needed 2 or 3 packs). I looked through their stuff and found a pack that had 10 of the correct diodes, along with a number of other sizes, which was actually cheaper than buying several packs of only the correct diode.
