I have 1996 GMC Sierra 2500 4x4. I want to out a 4 inch lift on it. It's a daily driver so I want something that rides good. My research has left me confused so I figure that is ask some of y'all. Also what is the difference between a lift kit for a 1500 and a lift kit for a 2500? What's a good brand for a 4 inch lift?

The difference between 1500/2500 kits is the upper control arms on 8 lug 2500's are wider than 1500's.
Is your truck an 8 lug 2500?
If so the ONLY kit I would run is an RCD. They claim they are 6" but truly are 4.5" and you turn the tbars up to get to 6".
I have ran RCD and Tuff Country on these trucks, I did nothing but fight alignment and steering component wear on the tuff country.
