99 4l80e gauge

I’m wanting to add a transmission temp gauge to my 99 c3500 Dually with a 4l80e. What’s the easiest/best place to put my sensor?

Ma not be the best place, but I added a drain port to my pan, which has a 1/8 NPT whole, which is the same size as the sensor for my gauge. Just routed the wire up the firewall and under the dash.
