I have oem leather seats in my 98 Silverado. My only complaint is the seat back doesn't sit up straight enough. I'm always slouching in the seat.. Do the Escalade seats have more adjustment in the seat back? Or, are they pretty much the same as the truck seats? Is there anyway to modify the original seats to allow the seat back to sit more straight up? I know I can swap the GMT900 seats in, but I'd like to keep the interior looking somewhat OEM..

Yes same but with a Cadillac stitching pattern “frenched” were the seems are hidden from view. Do you have the electrical seat adjustments or manual? If elec. then try adjusting the 2 flat buttons as they are tilts and check your manual backrest maybe it’s not all the way up? As one notch is several in comparison with other vehicles. The absolute hardest thing for me is that these trucks never came with a memory option which is always a problem for me after a service or for some reason my boy messes with my seat! lol

And as an added note if you want the seat to be “truly “ straight then you’re going to be sitting as going forward as that’s part of just how these seats are. But that’s with the electric seat. But I would double check all of your adjustments bye not sitting in the seat at first. Then get in an adjust the seat.

The truck seats don't use an electric motor to adjust the seat back. It adjusts with the plastic lever on the side of the seat. The electric part moves the seat forward and back, up and down height wise, and tilting the seat as a whole. With the tilt, I can get the seat back close to where I like it, but it feels like the seat is pointed downhill.
