98 wheel bearing replacement

Does anyone have experience changing a front wheel bearing on a 98? I was told that the 98 does not need the entire wheel hub, just the bearing. The wheel is wobbling, and I'd like to know if the job is easy enough to do myself and not waste money with a mechanic.

Is your truck two wheel drive or four wheel drive?

If it is 2wd the bearings can be replaced without the hub. The brake rotor is the hub. Just like changing trailer bearings if you are familiar with them. If not you tube is your friend. I just repacked and adjusted mine a few months ago,no need to replace unless pitted.
