98 gmc rcsb c1500 5.3 swap..dead clutch help

Need some recommendations on what to look at and the location of the slave cylinder please..my engine is a 2004 5.3 to a nv3500 and my clutch goes straight to floor and won't go into gear..kind of a newbie mechanic but willing to get dirty

It's hydraulic clutch so a failed clutch master, low to no fluid. Or the slave cylinder has failed. Is this an engine conversion or what year truck. Year, Make, model , eng, trans. Pretend we are blind, so be descriptive.
