This is where I’m at now hermonic balancer is TDC distributor is aligned at the bottom an the tops are aligned barley.

THIS THE CIRCLE PICS OF THE TOP OF ENGINE. Red circle is Intake manifold the orange circle is the number eight and the blue you know where there is. The distributor in intake manifold are supposed to be parallel with each other is that correct

Yes, the flat portion will be parallel to the intake, so that looks correct.

The rotor should be pointing to the #1 contact (the number 8 triangle) when seated. You’re close, but I’d guess it’s off a tooth.

Here are a couple of links on TDC, maybe it will help. The original distributor would have had a paint mark or scribe on it above the gears to show the preliminary orientation (before dropping it in), but the first link below shows how to set that with the rotor removed.

Yes I do have the white mark an the dimples lined up. But I crank it like that all together an it won’t start, not sure if it’s not getting fuel or spark.

Oh ok, I see the mark now. I thought it was a glare.

On the balancer, are there two marks? The links imply that there are two and to align them per that diagram.

Now with the stroke I’m not sure if I’m on the intake or exhaust stroke of cylinders 1 my hermonic balancer markering are together just not sure if I should be little behind or ahead.
