95 to 88-89 headlights

I'm looking to change my headlights to the 88-89 4 headlights style would I need anything different to support them

You'll need the bracket that they sit in. It bolts in exactly the same as the composite one does, but it is specific to those lights.

Do they plug right in or do you need to rewire?

Wait a second... If you use halogen 4701/4703 bulbs, then yes you will need the pigtails to match. If you use the LMC lenses they utilize the same 9005/9006 that the composite light does.

Also, if you have that tall skinny power steering cooler, look close at the tabs on it, there are two holes, you will need to move it to the holes that position it closer to the centerline of the truck, i.e. away from the driver's side headlight.

Interesting, I will take a close look at my '96 GMC grille tomorrow as I have it off. I did not trim anything nor did I notice it hitting anything when I swapped to the 88-89 lights.

Maybe on a gmc grill you don't have too, chev you do or the grill doesn't fit right.
