92 Cluster Without a Tach

I'm just posting this because I'm really curious and have always found this an oddity in my truck. I have a 92 K1500 Silverado, and the gauge cluster has a speedo , oil pressure, temp, battery, and fuel gauge but no tach. Anyone else have this or know why they did it or if it's rare or anything. Just curious.

Very common... no rarity and no rational reasoning other then it was an option that could be ordered... some ordered it others felt what's the point of an rpm gauge in an automatic.. mind you that's just my assumption.... subject to change with new info....

My 90 dosent have a tach either. Most don't with that cluster
