5.7 vs 7.4 whats your opinion

IIRC they where rated from 300 - 360 HP depending on the application.

I really like the vortec 5.7, all around it is a good engine and for a light duty truck ideal. However when it comes to lugging the weight of a 4X4 suburban I wish I had the 7.4 at least 457,972,201 times a week, so gotta go with the 7.4 over the 5.7

For me a 350 is all I need to do what I do. It pulls my #6000 camper just fine. I'm sure a big block would do it easier but gas being what it is I'll keep my sb

I have to vote the 454 it is my favorite of them all even thought it doesnt get that great of gas milage it's still a beast. I like the 350 but it just doesn't have the torque of the 454.
