Looks pretty healthy, albeit higher in the rev range, but 400+ ft/lbs for 2250rpm is a nice fat torque curve.

Are you running a higher stall converter?

383 Stroker is known for low-RPM grunt, no?
Yes, torque converter stall is 2400 RPM. Had to go look it up, it's been so long since I bought it!

Here's an interesting little issue. I got a beautiful NOS ACDelco starter for a 153 tooth flex plate from a local guy for $50. Got the correct flex plate to match from the transmission shop. Here's the rub - the dust cover on the 4L60E transmission has a cutout for the 168 tooth starter, which is farther from the engine center line than the 153 tooth starter. So I had to modify the dust cover with a saw and files for hours. What a PITA. I don't think they make ANY dust cover for the 153 tooth starter.
