1996 4l60e to a 2007 4l60e

Hey guys so heres the story. I have a bad 4l60e trans from my 07 trailblazer SS that now has a 4l80e. I was wondering if i rebuilt the transmission that was originally in my trailblazer and put it into my suburban would it work correctly? Thanks

no... the bell-housing, torque converter, and wire-harness is different. I am sure you could make it work with a bunch of modifications, but cost wise it would be much much cheaper to fix the 96
