hey guys im working on transmission lines on my suburban 4l60e, i got a kit with npt fittings, i know its an nps but i used thread sealer and didnt overtighten, now im just second guessing and wondering if i remove the npt fittings, will NPS fittings be able to properly fit back in or did i ruin the thread opening?

its an nps straight 3/8" stock. There are kits made with both nps and npt thread, i got the one with npt unfortunatly. I just put them on in a pinch because im working on getting this truck together but now second guessing and thinking about taking them off and putting in the nps just wasnt sure if they would now fit the same

My guess was GM used nps to keep from breaking the case if over tightened? I’ve never used nps, npt is normally what I’ve used on everything.
