1995 Z71 TRANS

I BOUGHT A 1995 Z71 WITH BAD TRANS DECIDED TO REBUILD IT MY SELF. THE CASE IS BUSTED DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT YEAR MODEL CASES WILL WORK WITH MY 1995 TRANS

From what I've heard only transmission that will work with your truck is only the 95 models. All the transmissions are the same except the bolt pattern on the bell housing.

Correct. 95 model year 4L60e transmissions will only work with other 95's. It was a only for 1 year.

95 is 1 year only for just about all parts in it.

IT IS A 4L60E 95 MODEL COULD I NOT TAKE THE ELECTRONICS AND ALL THE OTHER PARTS AND PUT THEM IN ANOTHER CASE FROM A 94 0R 96 MODEL ? THE CASES LOOK IDENTICAL

The 95 transmission has 2 sensors that are different than the 96. They ohm out different. The case is the same, just get one where the shifter has the holes where it needs to be and the neutral switch has the bossed to bolt on. 95 is it's own year, but changing the pwm and 3/2 downshift solenoid makes it interchangeable.
